The Stadthotel provided a nice stay while I was visiting Cologne. The room was comfortable and the staff were all friendly and accommodating to my lack of German. The breakfast was also nice with many options.

With the exception of the gentleman from Spain, your reception agents tend to be rude! Here is an example. On Thursday afternoon, I left my key in the room. I went to the reception desk, offer my apologies and requested a key. The agent made a face expression like I was bothering him, created the key and handed it to me without saying a word. You really need to train them to foster customer service skills. I understand you are a budget Hotel but friendliness is not expensive…! Your reception agents also tend to hide in the office behind the desk. Im addition, my room had a musky smell. I solved it by opening the window.
