It`s difficult to access the safes in the rooms, especially for persons who are shorter than 6 feet
Checkout is supposed to be at 11:00 a.m.
But the keycard didn`t open my room anymore already at 9:50 a.m. , more than one hour before the scheduled checkout.
I stayed regularly at Schmöker Hof over since November 2021. The Room rates increased from 89€ to now 129€, which is an increase well above 40%. The increase is totally unjustified even taking inflation and other economic issues into consideration. In addition, the hotel still has a laminated information in the rooms, stating not to clean the room due to "official recommendations" (offizielle Handlungsempfehlungen). So my room was indeed not cleaned at all for three days. No toilet was cleaned, no sink was cleaned no window was opened to at least air the room, no trash cans where emptied, simply nothing. I checked, there are absolutely NO OFFICIAL RECOMMENDATIONS any more. In the Norderstedt area, Schmöker Hof is the only hotel that i know of not providing any Hygienic services to their guests (unless i physically ask for it... this is really not acceptable). Combined with an over 40% rate increase, i do not feel being treated fairly. I will choose another hotel for my next trips and i will also inform my company not to stay any longer at Schmöker Hof (Please check - we had regular visits to your establishment so far). I totally understand the tight situation hotels are in, but the Schmöker Hof Management seem to take advantage of this situation, which is totally unethical and also unacceptable to my standards.
I would like to receive the Updated Official Recommendation of the state of Schleswig Holstein from you, stating officially that they recommend the Hotel industry not to clean any rooms. If you can deliver this updated information to me i might change my mind. I checked and i am traveling a lot in Germany, I have for the last six months not experienced this scenario any more and i assume the Schmöker Hof Management is simply not up to date and save money at the expense of their guest experience blaming their poor choice on covid. A real disappointment. I would like to receive ýour feedback on my comment as i am happy to provide you with constructive information. In the end, it is the image of your whole organization that you have to take care of.
