The room was clean and spacious, the people working at the hotel friendly and helpful.
However, I had not expectet a 4-star hotel not to have aircondition. Due to the heat, I had to have the windows open, and naturally there was a lot of noice throughout the night. But when closing the window, the room was extremely hot. So didn't get much sleep either of the three nights.
This was our 4th stay at Baseler Hof. It's our go-to hotel in Hamburg. Great location, great service, amazing breakfast.
