On the plus side it is a fine old hotel in a good location. The rooms are well kept. Breakfast was good. On the minus side reception seemed to be overwhelmed and under staffed. Because they had so much work the reception staff were not friendly. In the evening the restaurant was closed without explanation.

We were made very welcome from the time we checked in. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The suggestion about taking a boat over to Konstanz and then bus to Mainau Insel suited us better than our original plans.

The hotel made a mistake booking our room (single instead of double), did not have double rooms available and did not cover for the difference (40€) to book an equivalent room in a hotel nearby.

Nice Rom. Friendly staff. Breakfast was less impressive. The bread was very dry and the fruit salad was not fresh.
