This campsite is not worth of 5 stars, sorry. Reception opening hours and the size of the reception area itself is not suitable for the size of the campsite and the volume of people coming in one out (staff were very friendly and helpful though), number plate system unable to recognise our number plate, shop too small and cash only, toilet blocks and seating area outside the pub needs updating.

top camping, the activities and entertainment are super! onyl the vehicles and also the personnal of the campsite (for example the golf carts or rasenmachinen) drive extremely fast! We had several incidents where we saw that they almost collided with a kid. the kids drive also fast because it's downhill, but the drivers should be more carefull. certainly the loud lawn machines because they don't hear the kids coming....

We booked a comfort camp site am Waldrand from the 7th to the 14th of July but the confirmation was for the week after. OK, that is something we need to check before but the initial error was made bij the campsite. Found out on the day of departure and booked immediately another spot, which was luckily possible. Got a quite nice place on the free camping area but we could not choose. The people after us could chose there spot. Sanitary building on the free camping area is too small. But overal the campsite is not 5 stars worht actually, rather 3 star campsite. We are now at Camping Munstertal in the Swarzwald. Now THAT is a 5 star campsite, the owners of Gitzenweilerhof need to come over and have a look.
